Former Resident Dies in California

Word has been received here of the death of Mildred Gordon Howell at Sacramento, California May 2nd. She was 77.

Mrs. Howell was born March 4, 1900 in Winterset, the daughter of James Arthur and Katherine Lease Gordon and grew up in this community.

She is survived by a son, Gordon Howell of Davis, California, a daughter, Mrs. Paul Fuller of Sacramento, California, three grandsons and two great grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Beerbower of Winterset.
