Services for Eva Johnson
A native of Salix, Iowa, who lived most of her life in Madison County, Eva Maude Johnson, 88, died Tuesday, August 3, 1976, at the Good Samaritan Home in Indianola. Her permanent residence had been rural route Winterset.
The daughter of Joseph Hamilton and Louisa Schoonover Hamilton, Mrs. Johnson was born December 31, 1887, in Salix. She married Wesley Johnson on February 28, 1913.
A housewife, Mrs. Johnson was affiliated throughout her life with the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Orval (Doris) Simmerman of Winterset and a son, Lyle Dean Johnson of Theodore, Alabama. Also five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband February 24, 1963, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Eva Maude Johnson were conducted Saturday, August 7, at 10:30 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Winterset, Rev. Paul Hann officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
