Services For Mrs. Rockey
Funeral services were held from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro Tuesday, March 2nd, for Mrs. Kenneth Rockey of Des Moines, the former Fern Hope of the Peru community. Mrs. Rockey, who was 68, who had been in failing health for several years, died Sunday at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters and several sisters and brothers.

Rites for Fern Rockey
A former resident of Madison County, Fern Clarise Rockey, died Sunday, February 29, 1976, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was 68 years old, raised in Madison County where she attended school and a recent resident of Des Moines.
Mrs. Rockey was born August 16, 1907, in Madison County, the daughter of Charles S. Hope and Maude Kiefer Hope. She was married to Kenneth Rockey on June 24, 1926, in Winterset.
A housewife, Mrs. Rockey was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Peru.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Rockey of Des Moines, two daughters, Carolyn H. Austin of St. Charles, Joyce A. Lull of Orgon, New Mexico, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Eldon Hope of St. Charles and Ray Hope of Winterset and four sisters, Jessie Kayes of Des Moines, Ruth McMasters of California, Grace Rogers of Winterset and Violet Eagan of Prole.
Mrs. Rockey was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth.
Funeral services for Fern Rockey were conducted Tuesday, March 2, 1976, at 1:30 p.m. from Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Rev. David Wagner of Truro officiating. Burial was made at the St. Charles Cemetery.
