Death Wednesday of Cecile Cade

A resident of Madison County for half a century, Cecile Almina Cade, died Wednesday, January 26, 1976 in Des Moines at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs. Cade was the daughter of Charles and Alta Brower Keesey. She was born December 18, 1901 near Redfield in Dallas County, Iowa.

Baptized in the Christian Church in her youth, Mrs. Cade later transferred her membership to the Fairview Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.

The marriage of Cecile Cade and Albert Cade took place December 18, 1924. He preceded her in death in January 1953. The couple had two sons, both of whom survive their mother, Virgil of DeSoto and Junior at the Cade home south of DeSoto, and a daughter, Coleen, of Des Moines.

Also surviving are two grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd of Van Meter, and Lyman of Redfield; and two sisters, Gladys Armstrong of Van Meter and Lola Merical of Des Moines.

Mrs. Cade was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Murl, Alman and Lloyd, and two sisters, Leatha Stanley and Dorothy Franck.

Funeral services for Cecile Cade were conducted from the Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter on Saturday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Clyde Sparks officiating.

Organist was Mrs. Neale Caudron. Pallbearers were Charles Cade, Albert Jones, Pete Lienemann, Van Storck, Art Wright and Russell Wright. Burial was made at the Fairview Cemetery.
