Earl Sherburne, 68, passed away on December 25, 2008.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd., Clive. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic Service on Friday January 2 at the funeral home.

Earl retired as a supervisor from the Des Moines Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Earl was the Past Worshipful Master at the Auburn Union Park Masonic Lodge No. 592. He was a member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shriners and served as a Road Runner for the Shriners Hospital.

Earl will be missed by his wife of 50 years, Sarah; mother, Fern Sherburne; sister, Esther Haworth; brother, Pastor Tim Sherburne; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father, Lucian.
