MERRILL HAYDEN, St. Charles

Merrill Hayden, 78, of St. Charles died Monday, Dec. 21, 2012, at his home. Services will be held at a later date.

Merrill was born in Peru, Iowa, on Nov. 11, 1934, to Rowena Hercock Hayden and Ted Hayden.

Merrill worked at farming and mechanics from an early age, getting a GED from high school. At 20 years, he enlisted in the Army, and worked 1 1/2 years in Korea as a mechanic, just after the Korean War. He married Wanda, and they had two sons, Mike and Greg. His second marriage was to Corleen Nuzum in 1983.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Hayden and Greg Hayden; a step son, David Nuzum; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren and one great-grandson.

MERRILL HAYDEN, St Charles

Merrill Hayden of St. Charles died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at his home.

He is the son of Teddy and Regina (Hircock) Hayden.

Merrill was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, one niece and seven nephews.

Merrill is survived by his sons, Mike Hayden and Greg Hayden; his wife, Corleen; a step son; five sisters, Beulah Harrison, Grace Anne Faux, Helen Salsbury, Marjorie Gallentine, Norene Zimmerman and many nieces and nephews.
