Hold Frances L. McDonald Rites

Funeral services were held here last Saturday, December 14, for Mrs. Frances L. McDonald of Winterset. Mrs. McDonald died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 11, at the age of 86.

Frances L. McDonald was born at Alton, Kansas on September 22, 1888, the daughter of Elish and Tabitha Ann Reigle Eggleston. She was married to Robert Harrison McDonald at Winterset on June 1, 1906.

A housewife, Mrs. McDonald was also employed by the John Deere Manufacturing Company in Waterloo during World War II.

She was affiliated with the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter: Clyde L. McDonald of Winterset, Albert C. McDonald of Adel, and Lois Jeske of Cleveland, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters: Mary Clark of Winterset; Lavisa Gentry of St. Louis, Missouri and Mahala McDonald of Willow Springs, Missouri.

Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Pastor C. O. Wangberg presiding. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
