Waldron Rogan Died Friday
Waldron Rogan, a life-long resident of Douglas township, died Friday, March 9, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, after an extended period of failing health. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Rogan was a well-known Douglas Township farmer throughout his life. He was born there July 17, 1896, a son of James and Julia Welch Rogan.
He was married at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Winterset on June 10, 1926, to Eva Manders, who survives him.
Mr. Rogan was a life-long member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church here.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. In addition to his wife, nearest surviving relative is a sister, Alice Rogan of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from St. Joseph’s Catholic church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. John Hart. Burial was made in the Stringtown cemetery.
