Funeral Thursday For Arthur Faux

Funeral services for Arthur O. Faux will be held Thursday, January 25 at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be at McGinnis Cemetery near Patterson.

Mr. Faux died Tuesday morning at Pocahontas, Iowa. He was 75 years of age.

Arthur Faux Dies at 75

Arthur Otis Faux, a native of Madison County and a previous resident for 30 years, died January 23, 1973 at the Pocahontas Care Center, Pocahontas, Iowa. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Faux was born October 31, 1897 in Union Township, the son of Thomas John and Fannie Susan Bishop Faux. He married Alice Hazel Kay on December 24, 1919 in Bevington, Iowa.

Mr. Faux was a veteran of the first World War and a member of American Legion Post 653 in Des Moines. He was employed as a farmer and cement finisher during his active life.

Survivors include three brothers, Elmer J. Faux, Byron Faux and Eldon T. Faux all of Patterson. Mr. Faux was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers and three sisters. He had no children.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. from the Collins Funeral Home with burial at the McGinnis Cemetery in Patterson. Services were conducted by the Rev. William L. Andre.
