John Snyder, 77, of Winterset, Iowa, died December 24, 2012 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital.
John Edward Snyder was born August 1, 1935 at Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa, to Alexis Keith Snyder and Vida Ruth (Kimpton) Snyder.
His marriage to Dorothy Keating took place November 22, 1953. John owned Snyder Towing of Winterset.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his children Rick Snyder, Edward Snyder (wife Cherita), Julie McKinney (husband Rich) and Susan Groom (husband Chris), seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, his sisters JoAnne Walker (husband Gary) of Winterset, and Sherri Alexander (husband John) of Centennial, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Jeremy Snyder.
In honor of John's wishes he has been cremated.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
