Byron Arnold Dies at 72 Years

Byron Arnold of Winterset died Saturday, Sept. 4, at Memorial hospital here. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Arnold was a native of Patterson, but lived many years in Kansas City, before moving to Winterset last May.

During his life-time he was engaged in farming, worked in steel plants, and had helped build P.T. boats during World War II. He was employed by the Kansas City ----- until his retirement.

Mr. Arnold was a son of George W. and Emma Stout Arnold. He was married at Winterset Aug. 12, 1919 to Alice M. Letz, who survives him.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
