Rites Held For Micky Walker
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. this Wednesday for Micky James Walker, 25, of Dexter. Mr. Walker died at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines last Sunday, August 29.
Micky Walker was born on October 9, 1945, the son of Fred Alec and Florence M. Duff Walker. On November 28, 1965, he was married to Connie Plymesser in Adel.
Mr. Walker had lived in Madison County most of his lifetime. At the time of death, he was employed by the Iowa Concrete Co. of West Des Moines.
He was affiliated with the Christian Church.
Among the surviving relatives are his wife, Connie, and three children, Mickey Jr., aged 5, three-year-old Peggy, and two-year-old Tammy. Other surviving relatives include three brothers, Ronald of Winterset, Fred of Winterset, and Tommy of Des Moines, and two sisters, Doris (Mrs. Jack Weller) of Truro, and Joyce (Mrs. Earl Allsup) of Winterset. Two brothers, Richard and Leon preceded him in death.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. this Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Winterset, with the Rev. Eldon F. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery near Winterset.
