Jay R. Brock Dies in Missouri

Jay R. Brock, a native of Winterset, died April 5 at a hospital in Rolla, Mo., following a heart attack. He was 55 years of age.

Mr. Brock was born in Winterset Nov. 13, 1915, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Brock. He graduated from Winterset High school with the class of 1934. He served in the U.S. army for many years, retiring in 1964 with the grade of first class sergeant. Since then he had been employed as a golf course manager.

He was a member of the First Methodist church, the Methodist Men’s club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Rolla Kiwanas club.

Mr. Brock is survived by his wife, Eva, a son Bruce Brock of Carrolton, Mo.; his father, Homer Bruce Brock of Greeley, Colo.; and a sister Mrs. Helen ----- of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

Funeral services were held from the Null and Son chapel in Rolla, with burial at the post cemetery at Ft. Wood, Mo.
