Wednesday, April 7, 1971Donald Kinney Dies At 59 Years
Donald E. Kinney of near Peru died this Sunday, April 4, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. He was 59 years of age.
Mr. Kinney was born at Berwick, Iowa, on May 3, 1911, a son of Charles and Montie Frazier Kinney. He came to Madison county from Bondurant in 1959, and had farmed here since that time.
He was married Dec. 9, 1933, to Georgia Leach, who survives him. In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Robert Kellerup of Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs. William Sandquist of Adel, and Mrs. Lee Von Stein of Bondurant. He also leaves 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Wisconsin and Mrs. Irene Smith of Des Moines.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Claude J. Wood of Adel. Burial was to be made in Chase-McDonald cemetery in Madison county.
