Services Here For Margarite Lutz

Mrs. Margarite M. Lutz, a native of Madison county, died last Friday, April 23, at Emanuel hospital in Omaha, Nebr. She was 62 years of age.

Mrs. Lutz was the former Margarite Mae Cooper, daughter of Joseph and Ocein Mead Cooper. She was born in Madison county April 5, 1909, and spent the first 17 years of her life here. She was married in Colorado on March 14, 1949, to John Lutz, who survives her.

She owned a café in Panora for 14 years, moving from there in 1969 to Hoxie, Kan., where she owned and operated a hotel.

Mrs. Lutz was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Guthrie Center.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a step-son, Thomas Lutz of Des Moines; two grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Cooper of Chariton, Wayne Cooper of Winterset and Emery Cooper of Earlham; and three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Clark of Dexter, Mrs. Grace Atkins of Rantoul, Ill., and Mrs. Bellezora Lucas of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Craig Hollingsworth of Perry. Burial was made in Union Chapel cemetery.
