Former Resident Dies at Denison

Jack W. Shinn, a native of Van Meter, died last Thursday, May 29, at Crawford county hospital in Denison. He had been living at Manilla the past year. He was 38 years of age, and was a sales representative for the Dixon Lumber company. Mr. Shinn was born July 7, 1930, a son of George and Doris Craven Shinn.

He leaves two daughters, Leslie Ann and Diane Shinn of Des Moines; and a brother, Jerry Shinn of Waterloo.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
