F. A. Bonham of Macksburg Dies

Francis A. Bonham, a well-known resident of the Macksburg community during his entire life-time, died Saturday, Oct. 4, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 84 years of age.

Mr. Bonham was a son of Samuel and Mary McKinzie Bonham. His early life was spent in farming, but later he operated a store in Macksburg for many years.

He was married in 1907 to Pearl Busch, who survives him.

Mr. Bonham was a member of the Bethesda Baptist church at Macksburg, and an associate of the Lorimor Baptist church. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges in all divisions.

In Addition to his wife, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Alice Rogers of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Verdie Garrett of Macksburg, and Mrs. Estella Meehan of Mason City.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Macksburg United Methodist church, with the Revs. Richard Smith and Ronald Kinzler officiating. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
