Rolla Eyerly Died Sunday

Rolla S. Eyerly, of St. Joseph Mo., formerly a well-known resident of the Winterset community, died Sunday, Nov. 16, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. He was 64 years of age, and had been in failing health since 1960.

Mr. Eyerly was born near Pitzer on July 22, 1905, a son of William C. and Ada Speer Eyerly. He was married at Macksburg on June 2, 1930, to Fern A. Dorsey, who survives him.

For many years he engaged in trucking in the Winterset and Macksburg areas. In 1933, he moved to St. Joseph, Mo., where he operated a truck line located at the stock yards in that city.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Louis F. Imm III, of St. Joseph; one granddaughter; two brothers, Ralph and Orris Eyerly of Macksburg; and two sisters, Mrs. O. G. Wallace of Macksburg and Mrs. Alice Lawless of Denver, Colo. One daughter preceded him in death in childhood.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Clark Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp, of Winterset. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.

Former Resident Of Macksburg Dies at D. M.

LORIMOR—Rolla S. Eyerly, 64, a former resident of Macksburg, died at Mercy hospital at Des Moines Sunday. He had lived in St. Joseph, Mo., since 1955.

Funeral services will be held a 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Clark and Wilson funeral home at Winterset. Burial will be in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.

Mr. Eyerly is survived by his widow, Fern; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Frederick Imm III of St. Joseph, Mo.; a granddaughter; two brothers, Ralph and Orris Eyerly, both of Macksburg; two sisters, Mrs. O. G. Wallace of Macksburg and Mrs. Alice Lawless of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Eyerly was in the trucking business at Macksburg before moving to St. Joseph in 1955.
