Banks Services Held Thursday

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset for J. Lloyd Banks, whose death had occurred Oct. 6 at his home near Winterset.

Mr. Banks was 67 years of age at his death. A life-long resident of this community, he was a son of Marion F. and Linna Smith Banks, and was born here Oct. 30, 1901. He was a retired employee of the Winterset municipal water department.

Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Lee Banks of Winterset, and a half-sister, Bessie Leasman of Barstow, Calif.

The Rev. E. F. Jandebeur, pastor of the First Christian church in Winterset, officiated at the funeral services Thursday. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
