Lou Traster Died Saturday

Charles “Lou” Traster of Winterset, a resident of this community for 30 years, died Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Horton Nursing home. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Traster was a native of Nebraska, where he was born at Fairbury on Dec. 20, 1890, a son of John H. and Millie Blair Traster. For many years he was employed in the Winterset municipal light plant, and had worked in a similar capacity in state institutions for 25 years.

Mr. Traster was married at Gering, Nebr. On Nov. 27, 1920, to Virgie Neal, who survives him.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, three brothers and a sister having preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
