James F. Rhone of Lorimor Dies

James F. Rhone of Lorimor died Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Madison Manor in Winterset. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Rhone was born in Holt county, Nebraska May 20, 1884, a son of Frank and Lydia Simpson Rhone. Most of his life was spent in Madison and Union counties engaged in farming.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel Weaver of Winterset; and a brother, Ivan Rhone of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Watts and Soll Funeral home in Lorimor with the Rev. Mr. Seibert officiating. Burial was made in the Barney cemetery.

Coordinator's note: The 1895 and 1900 censuses say he was born in Iowa. The 1910 & 1920 censuses as well as this obituary say he was born in Nebraska. We are unable to resolve this conflict.
