E. H. Paullin Dies at 91 Years

Edward H. Paullin, of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Friday, Aug. 8, at Memorial hospital here. He was 91 years of age.

Mr. Paullin was born in this county July 26, 1878, a son of William K. and Esther M. Cline Paullin. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the United Brethren church in Jefferson township.

He was married at Greenfield in 1907 to Nellie Pratt. Her death occurred in 1939. In 1940 he was married at Des Moines to Mabel C. Wilson, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, G. C. Paullin of Winterset; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two step-sons, Hal and Claude Orr of Winterset; a step-daughter, Mrs. Katherine Benoit of Des Moines; two step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare Church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
