Harold Curtis Colvin was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas February 7, 1902, and died June 17, 1969 in San Diego, California. He came to Iowa at the age of 2 years, traveling in a covered wagon with his parents and lived on a farm in Madison County for several years.

He attended school and graduated from high school at Ankeny. Following graduation, he entered business with his father in Winterset and resided here several years.

On March 10, 1927 he married Thelma Mease, and they had one son, Jay Rodney. In January 1958 they moved to San Diego where they have made their home. Due to poor health he retired in October 1965.

He leaves his widow, son Jay, two granddaughters, Janel and Robyn, and one sister, Mrs. Juanita Stanfield of Ankeny.

Funeral services for Mr. Colvin were held last Friday afternoon from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Walter A. Samp officiating. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
