A. B. Peterson Dies at 80 Years

Albert B. Peterson, a retired farmer who had lived in Monroe township since 1911 died Monday, June 16, at his home in that community. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Peterson was born in Cass county Feb. 27, 1889, a son of John and Christina Baird Peterson. His early life was spent in Cass and Adair counties. He was married in Adair county in 1911 to Gladys Newport. She preceded him in death in 1961.

He leaves five children, Mrs. Nevina Lehman, at home, Mrs. Opal Bishop of Martinez, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Kirk, John Peterson and Mrs. Hazel McClain of Lorimor. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and a brother Hans Peterson of Ames and three sisters Mrs. Evelyn Mathison of California, Mrs. Blanche Cook of Nevada and Mrs. May Oaks of Adair.

Arrangements for funeral services are pending at the Watts and Soll Funeral home in Lorimor. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
