Floyd J. Nelson Died Last Friday

Floyd J. Nelson, formerly of Winterset, died Friday, March 26, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Nelson was born at Winterset and spent his early life here. He was married to Vera Bond in 1912. In 1920, they moved to Lohrville, where they engaged in farming for many years. In 1959 he opened a real estate and insurance business in Winterset, continuing until failing health forced his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Opal; and a brother, Earl Nelson of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from Dunn’s Funeral home in Des Moines. Burial was made in Glendale cemetery there.
