Margaret Wells, 59, of Earlham passed away Wednesday, November 28 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial service will be Monday, December 3rd at 11:00 AM at the Earlham Church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Margaret was born on February 17, 1952 in Dexter, Iowa to Robert and Peggy (Blohm) Wells. She grew up in the Dexter area and graduated from Earlham High School with the class of 1971. She spent her adult life living in the Des Moines and Earlham areas. She was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ and enjoyed singing in the Earlham Chorus. Margaret enjoyed acting and performed in several plays at the Dexter and Des Moines Playhouse. She was a very skilled poet and lyric writer. In her later years, she enjoyed volunteering with any activities she could.

Margaret is preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

She is survived by her daughter: Jodi (Matt) Winfrey of Omaha; grandchildren: Jack and Stella Winfrey of Omaha; sibilings: Mike (Nancy) Wells of Panora, Mary (Roy) Jobst of Earlham, Susan (Brian) Weinheimer of Creston, Brenda (Andy) Squillante of Texarcana, TX, John (Kim) Wells of Earlham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends all of whom will miss her greatly.
