Mrs. Cora J. Schoenenberger of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Sunday, July 28, at Memorial hospital here. She was 88 years of age.
Mrs. Schoenenberger was the former Cora Jane Welch, daughter of Samson and Elizabeth Hann Welch. She was born in Scott township June 23, 1880, and spent her life in this county.
She was a member of the Winterset Methodist Church, and the Woman’s society for Christian Service.
She was married Jan. 14, 1903, to Walter J. Schoenenberger. He preceded her in death.
Nearest surviving relatives are nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. E. K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
