4-Day Old Baby Died Wednesday

Stephen Ray, 4-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Haines of Winterset, died Sunday, August 7 at a hospital in Des Moines.

The baby was born in Des Moines last Wednesday, August 3, a son of John Lewis and Karen Hollingsworth Haines. In addition to his parents, he leaves a 2-year-old brother, Mark; his grandparents, Emily Haines of Des Moines, Eldon Haines of Winterset and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hollingsworth of Peru, and his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Haines and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clampitt of Winterset.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
