Mrs. Ben Chapman Dies At Bedford

Mrs. Ben Chapman, a resident of Madison county for 16 years died Saturday, Nov. 26 at Bedford. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs. Chapman was the former Jennie Johnson, daughter of Charles and Fannie Clark Johnson. She was born at Guthrie Center, March --, 1902. She was married to Ben Chapman at Adel in 1921. His death occurred in 1965.

She leaves three brothers, Earl, Lawrence, and Wilbert Johnson, of Winterset; and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Salisbury of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Hazel Schoonover of Des Moines, Mrs. Florence Little of Ankeny and Opal Johnson of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Foursquare church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
