Denver Johnston of Patterson, a life long resident of Madison county, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 68 years of age.
Mr. Johnston had worked as a barber in Patterson for many years. He was born at St. Charles March 23, 1894, a son of William and Etta Shreves Johnston. He was a veteran of World War I. And a member of the St. Charles Methodist church.
He was married Oct. 16, 1925 to Josephine F. Jarvis , who survives him. He also leaves a son, William Johnston of Patterson; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Delury and Mrs. Mary Lou DeBok, both of Des Moines; three grandchildren; a brother, Everett Johnston; and three sisters, Mrs. Mae Rogers and Mrs. Genevieve Greenwood of Winterset and Mrs. Laura Kinnaird of Patterson.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. From the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Howard Cho. Burial will be made in the St. Charles cemetery.
