Charles B. King of Cumming Dies

Life-Long Resident There Died Sunday at age of 59 Years

Charles B. King, of Cumming, a lifelong resident of Madison and Warren counties, died Sunday, April 1, after an illness of about two months. He was 59 years of age.

Mr. King was born in the St. Patrick’s community, south of Cumming, a son of Joseph and Mary Dooley King. His life was spent in that community. He engaged in farming for many years, and later worked as a mason in recent years. He had lived in Cumming and engaged in the trucking business.

He was married to Teresa Weil of Churchville, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, John King of Cumming and Raymond King of Golden, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lester Bishop of Ankeny and five brothers, Joseph King of Cumming, Walter King of Van Wert, John King of Prole, George King of Cumming, and Louis King of Winterset.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday morning from St. John’s Catholic church in Cumming, with burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery in Lee township.
