Anna Hartsook Died Monday

Death Occurs at Mason City; Funeral Services Here This Friday

Mrs. Anna C. Hartsook, a resident of Lincoln township most of her life, died Monday, Jan. 9, at a hospital in Mason City. Since 1949, Mrs. Hartsook had been making her home in Mason City with her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Ady.

Mrs. Hartsook was 86 years of age. She was the widow of William E. Hartsook, a prominent farmer in Lincoln township for many years.

She was the former Anna C. Greer, daughter of Andrew and Caroline Keating Greer. She was born May 5, 1874, at Landowne, Ontario, Canada.

During her long residence in Lincoln township, she was a member of the New Hope Christian Union church there, and of the Clover club.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Fern Ady of Mason City; a son, Lyle Hartsook, of Indianola; two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Edna Stewart of Boone, Mrs. Mildred Wright of Lombardy, Ontario Canada, and Mrs. Mervin Cobill of Carleton Place, Ontario; and a brother, Roy W. Greer of Fairfield East Ontario. One daughter, Edna, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 11 a.m. from the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
