Marie Pauline Kinnaird, age 88, of Albia, died on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Monroe Care Center, under the care of Monroe County Hospice. She was born on February 10, 1924 to John Sr. and Anna (Zondor) Bellis.

She married Raymond Dean Kinnaird on June 13, 1946 in Lancaster, MO, and they were blessed with three children: Sandra, Sam, Barbara. Marie and her husband owned and operated Kinnaird Meat Locker on the square for twenty-five years, and she was a cook at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for eleven years, and also worked at Trojan Manufacturing, Pella Corp, and Chamberlains. Dean died on December 17, 1986. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, and the Monroe County Hospital Auxiliary. She liked making Afghans, growing roses, house plants, and loved to dance to old country music. She also enjoyed going on bus trips with her friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Delbert) Casebolt of Bella Vista, AR, son-in-law Walter Littrel of Muscatine, IA, four grandchildren, Paula (Paul) Connor of Muscatine, IA, Connie Shortridge of Albia, IA, Lori (Donie) Short of Des Moines, IA, William Casebolt of Centerton, AR, sisters, Kathryn Ryan of Chariton, IA, and Helen Baxter in Independence, KS. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, and dear friends, Myrna Hynick, Alberta Cady, Irene Popson, Barb Salato, and Frances Kipfer. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Barbara Littrel, son, Sam, great grandson, Jesse Delap, brother, John Bellis jr., and sister Lucille Bellis Galob .

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Bernie Weir officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles, IA. Visitation will be on Monday, October 8, 2012, opening to the public at 11:00 am with the family being present from 6-8 pm at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. There will be a rosary at 4:00 pm conducted by St. Mary's Altar and Rosary, and a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
