Doyle N. Eivins, 88, of Riverview Care Center died of a heart ailment there Thursday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial at Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Mr. Eivins was born in Madison County and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired security guard for Pinkerton’s.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Schmidtke of Louisville, Texas, and Shirley Reason of Polk City; a son, Robert of Cameron, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katheryn.
