Metro Page 9Elizabeth Antonia Howell, 65, of Cumming died of cancer Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Howell was born in Des Moines and had lived in the Des Moines and Cumming area all her life. She was a homemaker and member of her church’s Altar and Rosary Society and Marycrest Alumni Association.
Surviving are her husband, Mark; three sons, Fred and Chris, both of Cumming, and Nick of Ames; four daughters, Susan Howell of Cumming, Ann Harmon and Mary Williams, both of Des Moines, and Carolyn Alyer of Silver Springs, Md.; a brother, L. Nicholas Muelhaupt of Clearwater, Fla.; and six sisters, Rosemary Strittmatter, Virginia Lowther, Margaret Pflanz, Mary Walsh and Joan Flynn, all of Des Moines, and Alice Hansen of Clearwater, Fla.
The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Caldwell-Raddatz Hickman Chapel, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
