Paul Bedwell Sr., 81, of Polk City died of a heart ailment Friday at Mercy Medical Center. The body will be cremated and no services are planned.

Mr. Bedwell was born in Winterset and lived in the Des Moines area many years, moving to Polk City eight years ago. He was a retired roofer and member of Lake County Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice; three sons, David of Des Moines, and Paul Jr. and Leonard, both of Ozark, Mo.; a stepson, Donald Conner of Des Moines; three daughters, Sharon Feeley of Des Moines, Jackie Archer of Ozark, Mo., and Sandi Ferguson of Redlands, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Wells of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands; a sister, Joan Collins of Perris, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
