Alma L. Bell, 90, of Knoxville died of a heart ailment Thursday at Westridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The body was cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.

She was born in Patterson and had lived in Winterset and Washington, D.C., before moving to Knoxville 10 years ago. She was a retired clerk for Civil Service in Washington, and was an Air Corps WAC veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two nieces, Mary Day of Knoxville and Ruth Jones of Manchester; and a nephew, Thomas Clague of Minneapolis.

Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville is handling arrangements.
