Rodney Lee Bennett, 16 of 2148 E. Capitol Ave. died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in DeSoto.

Mr. Bennett, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a freshman at East High School.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth Bennett; his mother and stepfather, Debra and John Frondle; a brother, Richie; a sister, Candace Bennett; and his grandparents, Janet and Richard Phipps, all of Des Moines.
