Metro Page 7Robert H. Stessman, 91, of Norwalk died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Regency Care Center there, where he had been a resident more than five months. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.
Mr. Stessman was born in Earling and had lived in Des Moines before moving to the care center. He was a retired plumber with One Trip Plumbing Co. and a member of the Plumbers union.
Surviving are a son, Robert Jr. of Iowa City; three sisters, Genevieve Oppold and Agnes Herbst, both of Panama, and Theonilla Stessman of Atchison, Kan.; two grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; and two foster great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Highland Park Funeral Home in Des Moines, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
