Burness A. Holland, 87, of St. Charles died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Holland, a retired farmer, was born in Kelley and moved to St. Charles in 1962 from Norwalk. He was a member of Lions Club and Odd Fellows.

Surviving are a son, James of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a daughter, Marilyn Pottorf of Indianola; and two sisters, Elaine Martens of Estherville and Elizabeth Raeside of Dubuque.
