Page 26WINTERSET, IA.—Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church here for Leonard F. Bindel, 71, a Winterset painter, who died Tuesday at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Cleo; three sons, including Charles of Des Moines; four daughters; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, and three brothers.

Leonard F. Bindel, a resident of Winterset and Madison County for the past thirty-nine years, died at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset last Tuesday, July 30. He was 39 years of age.
Leonard F. Bindel was born at Horton, Kansas on July 6, 1903, the son of George L. and Katherine Rehm Bindel. He was married to Cleo Snyder at Winterset December 26, 1935.
Mr. Bindel, a retired painter was affilated with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winterset.
He is survived by his wife Cleo, seven children, Mary Bodwell of Earlham, Leona Nanny of Great Lakes, Illinois and Eva Harrison of Lorimor, Louise Snell of Bainbridge, Maryland, Carl Bindel of Perry, Frank Bindel of Kansas City, Kansas and Charles Bindel of Des Moines.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, three brothers, George and Walter of Winterset and Leo of Ankeny and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Zbierski and Mrs. Josephine Schubert of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mildred Wiedman of Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, a granddaughter, four sisters and a brother.
