Mrs. Grace N. Allen, 84, of Karen Acres Nursing Home, 3605 Elm Drive, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at the home after a three-year illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial in King Cemetery near St. Charles.

Mrs. Allen was born in Warren County and lived in Indianola 20 years before moving to Des Moines 27 years ago. She was a former teacher and a member of Iowa State Education Association and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Delbert Duden of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Eldon Fife of Mineola; three sisters, Mrs. George Schad of Zion, Ill., Mrs. Glen Kilmes of Merino, Colo., and Mrs. Charles Moyer of Sterling, Colo.; three brothers, Cecil Nicholson and Oren Nicholson, both of Merino and Carol Nicholson of Olympia, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
