E. E. Thompson Dies at Age 83

Everett E. Thompson, 83, of 916 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, died Thursday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital of pneumonia.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dunn’s on Grand, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson, a native of Casey, had been a resident here 61 years and was a retired interior decorator for Younkers. He was a member of Waveland Park Masonic Lodge, charter member of the Des Moines Golf and Country Club and 50-year member of the Younkers’ Club.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Opal Thompson, Des Moines, and Mrs. Mildred Coldiron, Chicago; and a brother, Fielden, Des Moines.
