Murrell Lehman, 96, of Winterset died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Memorials may be made to the family.
Murrell Lenore Davis was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Runnells, Iowa; the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Halterman) Davis. She married Earl Lehman and retired in the 1970s as a film inspector for the Iowa Film Depot in Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl; children, Kenneth Purdy, Edmund Purdy, Marjory Jones and Janet Barnes.
She is survived by her children, Alice Veach of Sioux City, Carroll Purdy of Altoona, Jim Purdy of Ohio, Marion Calloway of Des Moines, Lois Jean Hutchison of Des Moines; siblings, Charles Davis, Francis Cleghorn, Lester Davis, Josephine Belcher, Laurence Davis, Bertha Davis, Robert Davis, and Raymond Davis; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
