Florence Creger, Creston

Florence Creger, 401 W. Lucas, Apt. 5, died Sunday evening, March 23, 1986, at Crest Haven Care Center.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Robert Pickerell will officiate with burial in Graceland Cemetery here. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church.

Creger was born April 7, 1904 in Truro to Henry and Lois (nee Simpson) Miller. She married Cecil G. Creger, July 4, 1923, in Truro. She lived in Truro until moving to Creston in 1937. She lived here until moving to Denver, Colo, in 1960 and then returned to Creston in 1972. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil of Creston, a son, James Creger of Sidney Neb., two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Zola Munson and husband Earl of Claremore, OK, Mrs. Dollie Fenton of Victor, Mrs. Reva Morris of Ankeny, Mrs. Mary Barker and husband Rolla of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Mildred Hawkins of Ainsworth, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers one sister and one son, killed in World War II.

FLORENCE CREGER

CRESTON, IA. —Florence Creger, 81, of Creston, a homemaker, died of a heart ailment Sunday at Crest Haven Care Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at First Christian Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery here.

Mrs. Creger was born in Truro. She was a member of First Christian Church and Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil C.; a son, James of Sidney, Neb.; five sisters, Zola Munson of Claremore, Okla., Dollie Felton of Victor, Reva Morris of Ankeny, Mary Barker of Cedar Rapids and Mildred Hawkins of Ainsworth, Neb.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
