Annie E. Garvey was born in Porter Co., Indiana, Sept. 9th, 1853, she moved to Madison Co., Iowa with her parents in the year 1866. United with the Baptist Church at the age of 16 years, was married to Benjamin McClellan Feb. 23rd, 1870. Moved to Kansas with her family in the year 1878 where she has resided until her death.

She united with the Christian Church at Glasco in 1881 where she has lived a faithful member ever since. She died July 22nd at 12 o'clock, she leaves a husband and four children, two sons and two daughters, also two brothers and two sisters to mourn her death.

Funeral services were attended by a large number of friends at the Christian Church and were conducted by Rev. Beaver. Her remains were laid to rest in Glasco cemetery Thursday July 23rd, 1896.
