Alden (Red) Lorimor, Winterset

Alden C. (Red) Lorimor, 93, passed away on June 18 at Care Center South in Winterset, Iowa. He was born February 20, 1919, to Carl and Ruby on the family farm near Bartlett, in southwest Iowa. Alden married Martha Weaver, of Tabor, IA on February 20, 1940. Alden served as a pilot and instructor during WWII, then returned to farming at Earlham where he re raised purebred Angus cattle for many years.

Alden was preceded in death by 4 brothers (Bud, Joe, Truman, Newell), and one sister (Wilma Moore). He is survived by his wife Martha, one sister June Kern of Culbertson, NE, daughters Janice Scar (Richard) of Buena Vista, CO and Deb Porter (Jerry) of Carroll, IA, and son Jeff (Peg) of Boone, IA, six grandsons, five granddaughters, and 19 great-grandchildren
