Carl G. Fredrickson well-known Scott township farmer, died Tuesday, February 21, at the home of his sister, Ella Harrell of Winterset. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Fredrickson was a life-long resident of Madison County. He was born August 8, 1889, in Monroe township, a son of Fred and Whipkey Huss Fredrickson, both of whom were natives of Germany. His active life was spent in farming. He never married.
Surviving are three brothers, Han and Tony Fredrickson of Minnesota and Will Fredrickson of Washington, D. C. and the sister, Mrs. Harrell of Winterset.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home conducted by the Rev. Charles W. Hollus.
Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
_________________________Coordinator's note: Registered at birth as "Charles", he went by "Carl" his entire life. Whereas his parents are buried under the name "Fredrickson", he and a brother changed theirs to "Frederickson". The county birth records, the 1895 Iowa state census and his WWI draft registration show him to be born in 1886 but his tombstone erroneously says 1889.
