Pg 2BKenneth G. Voll, 76, of Lorimor died of cancer Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Visitation will be held from 1 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where the family will greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near DeSoto.
Kenneth Voll was born in Hubbard, Iowa. He has been a resident of Lorimor for the past 45 years. He previously lived in Truro, Osceola and Gifford, with his early years spent in Hubbard and Eldora. He married Phyllis J. Wagner Dec. 9, 1944, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora. Kenneth was a trackman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1986. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Adel and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way (railroad union).
He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Voll of Des Moines; two brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, David of DeSoto, Harold of Pomona, Calif., and Edward of Redlands, Calif.; two sisters, Louise Martin of New Providence, Iowa, and Freda Crosser of Eldora; 13 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
