Pg 2BJames F. Reinholdt, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, died of a heart ailment Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
There will be a graveside service at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Van Meter. A memorial service will be held following the graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Des Moines.
Visitation will be held this afternoon (Jan. 21) at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter where the family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m.
James F. Reinholdt was born Jan. 21, 1934, at Martensdale, Iowa, to Earnest and Ruby Knight Reinholdt. He married Clara Lienemann on Aug. 26, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter. He was a resident of Hartford for 19 years prior to his residency in Des Moines. He worked 28 years for Firestone as an inspector. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was an active member of the American Legion Post #274. He was also a member of the Hope Lutheran Church and the United Steelworkers Local #310.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Reinholdt, and daughter Barbara.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lorraine Newby and Susan Reinholdt, both of Carlisle; two sons, Jim Reinholdt, Jr. of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Gary Reinholdt of Redfield; one sister, Dorothy Spain of Cumming; two brothers, William of Martensdale and Lee of Churchville; and two grandchildren.
